Environmental Compliance Assessment and Closure and Pollution Prevention Plans

Conducted an environmental compliance assessment at a facility that incinerates polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). Evaluated hazardous materials; wrote handling, storage, and spill prevention procedures; and prepared RCRA Waste Management Closure and Pollution Prevention Plans. Recommended alternative products, new ways to segregate reusable wastes, and techniques to improve handling of dangerous wastes. Implementation of these recommendations decreased the amount of waste sent for off-site disposal and reduced the possibility of site spills and accidents.
